A MANDO SIGN is recommended for a hole that has a MANDATORY object or dogleg. A MANDO is an object (usually a tree or pole) in the fairway of the hole, which MUST BE thrown around the direction the arrow points. Note! If the Mando Dog-leg isn’t marked–it won’t be played correctly, and it also won’t be safe!

Why a Mandatory Dog-leg?

Some holes have flight paths that are dangerous, especially on a hole with a dog-leg bend in the middle. Often, dog-leg holes have a short-cut that takes the disc over another hole’s tee-box, fairway, or target. This is not a safe hole design, and is where a MANDO is needed! Mando Signs will make your course SAFER and MORE CHALLENGING, and everyone will have a Better Disc Golf Experience.

Mando Sign Versions and Sizes!

We produce 2 versions of our Mando Signs. Our Standard version is made from high-quality cut vinyl is only available in red lettering/arrow with a white background. Our Deluxe version is made from high-end 3M printed-laminated materials [CAR-WRAP QUALITY] and can be programmed to look any way you’d like. The product pictures show the differences between the Deluxe and Standard Mando signs. Logos, graphics, and background patterns can be added to the Deluxe version, but not the Standard version.

Both Mando Sign versions are available in a small 8″ x 12″ x .063″ size and a large 12″ x 18″ x .063″ size. The small is perfect for short MANDO holes. We recommend a larger Mando Sign for holes with a long distance from the tee-box to the mandatory dog-leg. Our 12″ x 18″ x .063″ has HUGE TEXT and is easier for players to see from long distances.

Vertical or Horizontal!

Customers can order Mando signs in portrait or landscape style. We highly recommend the Mando sign in the vertical position! This is because, the sign is easier to mount and is also not as wide, so it’s less likely to interfere with the thrown disc. Also, the tree behind the sign will protect the sign from getting bent by a golf disc. Please note your layout preference when ordering.

Our Mando signs are made with high quality, long-lasting materials, and will last for many years. The Aluminum blank is .063″ thick. None of the thin .040″ aluminum blanks—like some other disc golf sign makers use.
